ChurchSuite Lectionary

To make life easier for people responsible for service planning, each liturgical year we import the Common Worship lectionary into ChurchSuite. This gives us a reference for where in the liturgical calendar we are, any festivals, readings, collects, and Anglican Cycle of Prayer information.

This information is sourced from the Alamanac for Common Worship website.

You should follow the import instructions in the ChurchSuite support documentation.

We usually use the following settings to ensure a good balance of information against noise:

Lectionaries

  • Only include Principal, Second and Third Services (Sundays and Festivals)

Collects

  • Only include Sundays and Festival days
  • Include CW collects and post communion prayers and additional (‘alternative’) collects

Options

  • Include Anglican Cycle of Prayer
  • Include Lectionary link
  • Switch on Sundays and Festivals only
