PCC
The Parochial Church Council – usually known as the PCC – are the body ultimately responsible for the Church. It is made up of elected members of the laity (for a maximum of two concurrent three-year terms), the Churchwardens, and the Vicar. The PCC may co-opt additional members where necessary. Together they are responsible for the overall wellbeing, practical as well as spiritual, of their church, the church members, and the church buildings.
The PCC is also a charity – in the case of St Mary’s it is a registered charity with the number 1130280. Its legal obligations are laid out in the Church Representation Rules.
