One-button streaming
In the event of no member of the Streaming Team being available to run an in-person stream, a service can be configured to use ‘one-button’ streaming. This only requires someone in the church to press the “On Air” button on the ATEM video mixer.
One-button streaming offers a less engaging experience for viewers, and should only be used as a last resort. Wherever possible, try to arrange a replacement Tech Lead for the service.
In advance
Only one stream can be configured ready for one-button streaming at once.
- Go to Streaming in YouTube Studio
- Choose the service to configure for one-button streaming
- Under “Additional settings”, switch on “Enable Auto-start” and “Enable auto-stop”
- You will see a confirmation dialog for each. Read it, understand it, and make the appropriate choice
- Let the Streaming Team know that the service has been armed and is ready
- If necessary, let someone who will be present know that the service is ready for one-button streaming
