Dress code

The Church’s technical team does not have a strict dress code, although team members should remember that whilst ‘on duty’ they are representing the Church and as such should not be dressed in a way which is likely to cause offence. All dress is left to the discretion of the team member, but the following guidelines may be useful.

Regular services

Whilst streaming a regular service you should feel free to wear anything you would usually wear to attend a Church service.

Occasional services

Occasional services usually mark a milestone in someone’s life. As such, you should be dressed appropriately for the occasion. Remember that you may be part of someone’s memories of the day, and perhaps even appear in photographs or video.

Funerals

As is traditional, it is recommended that you wear some level of formal dress for a funeral. Unless the family has requested otherwise, it is probably best to stick to black and neutral tones.

Since you will need your arms free, and may sit or stand several times throughout the service, there is no expectation to wear a jacket.

Weddings

For weddings it is more likely that you will appear in photographs or videos of the occasion which the couple will look back on for years to come.

Unless the family has specifically asked for the Church’s team to be dressed in colours, it is recommended that you stick to neutral tones to avoid clashing with the wedding party.
