Maintenance


Maintenance must be conducted by a competent person, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

All working at height must be by team members who have undergone appropriate training.

All equipment should undergo regular maintenance in accordance with its recommended schedule as noted in the asset register, including:

  • Cleaning of exteriors and (where needed) interior parts
  • Checking, cleaning and lubrication (where necessary) of moving parts
  • Electrical safety checks (including PAT tests)
  • Checking safety bonds and clamps for overhead mountings
  • Software and firmware updates

Servicing

Where equipment undergoes external servicing, this will be noted in the asset register.
