Print standards
To help maintain consistency between production runs we have decided on the following printing standards.
These standards are advisory. If you need to deviate from them for a particular reason – especially when it comes to things for one-off events where we’re not likely to need a re-order – then you should do so.
Global standards
Wherever possible we opt for FSC Certified paper stock, and offset any carbon emissions.
Follow all bleed and trim guidance for overprint, to avoid unwanted white borders.
Orders of service
Use SoloPress A5 Order of Service.
Orders of service should be printed on 130gsm silk stock inside. Outside stock should usually be self-cover, but may be switched to 250gsm silk stock for high-prestige events, or for weddings or funerals where we are arranging printing.
Business cards
Use SoloPress economy business cards.
Business cards should be 85x55mm, printed double-sided on 400gsm matt laminated stock with square corners.
Calling cards
Use SoloPress A7 Flyers & Leaflets.
Calling cards should be printed single-sided on A7 250gsm silk stock. The back is intentionally left blank for writing messages.
Leaflets
Half-fold
Use SoloPress Half Fold Flyers & Leaflets.
Leaflets should be printed on 130gsm silk stock. We usually aim for an A5 finished product (ie an A4 unfolded size).
