💥 Troubleshooting
Internet connection failure in the church
A failure of the internet connection in the church will usually manifest itself as a flashing “ON AIR” indication, and the streaming cache rapidly filling.
This will usually self-heal in a minute or two. We can tolerate short outages in a stream.
If the connection does not self-heal, the most likely culprit is the radio link to the Community Centre. You will probably need to reboot one or both ends.
Restarting the church radio bridge
- Identify the bridge’s PoE injector in the Equipment Cupboard.
- Unplug the cable from the port labelled “POE”.
- Wait around 10 seconds, and reconnect the cable.
Restarting the Community Centre radio bridge
Via the Bar Store
If you can gain access to the bar store, this method is preferred.
- Identify the bridge’s PoE injector in the bar store.
- Unplug the cable from the port labelled “POE”.
- Wait around 10 seconds, and reconnect the cable.
Via the distribution board
You must follow all our electrical safety guidance if you use this method.
- Identify the stage distribution board, and open the cover. You may need a ladder to do this safely.
- Isolate the “bar store sockets”.
- Wait around 10 seconds, and restore power.
ATEM not recording
If the ATEM will not start a recording the most likely culprit is the SSD – you can check this by looking at the recording status light. If it is lit orange, the drive is not ready for recording.
- Loosen the locking ring on the ATEM power supply (rear right of the unit).
- Remove the power supply.
- Wait about 5 seconds, and restore power.
- Tighten the locking ring to finger-tightness.
