Our logo
The Church’s logo is our main piece of branding, and should always be used carefully.
The main logo
Our main logo is the most common variation. It is available in three different colour options, depending on if you are planning to use it in full colour, greyscale or single colour.
Which one to use?
Only use the full colour logo if the final version which people will receive will also be in full colour.
If you’re photocopying or printing in black and white, use either the greyscale or single colour version.
If you’re using spot colours or printing onto something which won’t clearly show the shades of grey, use the black and white version. This is also the version to use if you are using the logo in knock-out against a darker background.
If you’re not sure which version to use, get in touch with the Communications Team for advice.
The symbol
The symbol version of the logo is intended for places where the full-size version would be impossible to read, such as at very small sizes.
You should always consider using the main logo first.
Usage rules
- The logo must not appear more than once per page, and ideally no more than once per document.
- The logo must appear in clear space wherever possible. If the logo appears directly atop an image, it should ideally be over a non-busy part of the image.
- The logo should be large enough that you can clearly read all text at the expected reading distance. If this isn’t possible, you should consider using the Symbol instead.
- If you are unsure about the placement or usage of the logo, you should contact the Communications Team.
Things to avoid
- You must never try to recreate the logo yourself, or re-use it from another document (such as copy and pasting, taking a screenshot or scanning). Always use original artwork from the Logo Pack.
- Nothing must appear above the logo on items produced by the Church. Where the Church’s logo is being used in partnership with another body, placement may vary.
