🗒️ Issuing a receipt
We don’t issue receipts for every transaction. However, it is policy that we provide one:
- On request
- For all drinks packages
- For settling open tabs (eg where someone is paying for all drinks over an evening, or has left a certain amount behind the bar).
We usually prefer a printed receipt since this is faster during busy bars, but you can offer an email receipt if it’s quiet or if the customer explicitly asks.
Issuing a receipt
There are two points where you can issue a receipt:
Right after a transaction
As soon as you have charged the customer, before pressing NEW SALE, you can choose to either PRINT RECEIPT, or enter an email address for an emailed receipt.
Later
If you have already begun a new sale, receipts can still be retrieved.
- Tap the ‘hamburger’ menu in the top left of the screen.
- Choose Receipts.
- Scroll through the list until you find the right transaction, and tap to select.
- Tap the three dot ‘more’ menu in the top right of the screen.
- Choose either Print receipt or Email receipt as necessary.
- To go back to sales mode, tap the ‘hamburger’ menu and choose Sales.
What about card receipts?
If a customer has paid by card, and the payment was done using the integrated card reader, their receipt from the till will include things like card type, last four digits, and any authorisation codes needed to trace a payment.
What about VAT receipts?
We are not VAT registered, and cannot issue VAT receipts.
