📋 Taking an order
This guide covers the basics of ringing an order through the bar till.
The new till no longer needs you to sign in as a specific clerk before you can use it.
Adding products to a ticket
Finding what you need
Quick access pages
We have several pages of common products to help you find what you need. These are arranged along the bottom edge of the screen. To choose one, just tap it.
The All categories page lets you view all the products we carry in a specific category, sorted alphabetically.
Search
You can search all the products on the till by tapping the magnifying glass icon at the upper right of the products panel.
All products
The ‘all products’ page (four squares arranged in a square) lists all our products alphabetically.
Adding products
Products appear on the left-hand side of the screen. To add a product to the open ticket, tap it.
Adding multiples
You can add multiples of the same product by tapping the button several times. Alternatively, tap the product in the ticket and manually adjust the number there.
Removing a product
If you accidentally add a product, either swipe it to the left to quickly access the delete button, or tap the product and choose REMOVE FROM TICKET.
Charging the customer
Once you have added all the products to a ticket, tap the CHARGE button
You will be shown the total due.
Taking a cash payment
If the customer is paying with cash, you have several options:
Exact amount
If they have paid with the exact amount, you can just press CHARGE. You can press NEW SALE to get back to the sales screen.
Common amounts
The till will try to guess common amounts people might hand over to pay for an order. If they have given one of these, tap that amount. The till will show you change owing, and you can press NEW SALE to get back to the sales screen.
Custom amount
If the customer has given you another amount, you can manually enter it by tapping under Cash received and putting in the amount you have. When you’ve entered the amount, press CHARGE. The till will show you change owing, and you can press NEW SALE to get back to the sales screen.
Taking a card payment
If the customer is paying with card, press the CARD button. The amount owing will be sent directly to the card reader, and the customer can tap their card.
